What's the role?
The Social Media and Content Manager, UK coordinates content creation and implementation across Etsy’s UK market. This role is responsible for developing locally vibrant content strategies that distinctly represent this market while ensuring all content and creative represents Etsy’s global social media strategy, brand voice and values. This person identifies key opportunities and social tactics to grow and scale Etsy’s local social following in the UK market to increase awareness of Etsy and deepen buyer and seller connection with the Etsy brand.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Core Channels and Campaigns. What’s this team like at Etsy?
The Organic Social Media Team creates content and strategies for Etsy’s owned social channels. Part of the larger Brand Marketing team, we are focused on driving engagement with compelling, best-in-class content and high-impact storytelling. We play a key role in crafting in-house original, social-native content and fueling brand love where buyers scroll.
What does the day-to-day look like?
• Develop content and creative across Etsy UK’s Meta (Instagram and Facebook) accounts including content creation, UGC sourcing, video editing, and copywriting, ensuring content represents Etsy’s social brand voice tone and visual identity.
• Adapt global campaigns and content to our international markets, ensuring execution is aligned with Etsy’s brand strategy, voice and tone.
• Define local UK market-specific social strategies informed by local audiences and the lifecycle of the marketplace in Etsy’s core markets.
• Draw insights, analyze, and report on social media metrics on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, synthesizing key wins and opportunities for marketing leadership.
• Run paid media campaigns for Meta channels.
• Work closely with sellers and creators to give guidance on imagery and video to ensure social media partnerships are developed to be in keeping with our social standards and campaign goals.
• Collaborate with the social video production team on video concepts, providing feedback on video edits aligned with the evolving social landscape and trends.
• Stay on top of the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape, from user & platform trends, to industry news to emerging features and technology.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
• 4+ years of shown success in bringing in substantial organic engagement across multiple social platforms, running social channels for brands, as well as in content creation and execution.
• Deep knowledge of the UK and European markets.
• Basic video editing skills including concepting, filming, and editing.
• An in-depth familiarity with Meta platforms (Instagram and Facebook) and their evolving usage and features.
• Accustomed to writing brand copy in a marketing and social media environment, with the ability to appropriately include social media vernacular.
• A strong aesthetic sense and keen on art direction and photography, familiarity with Adobe creative programs and Canva a plus.
• Critical thinking and fresh, innovative ideas for campaigns and content that achieve marketing goals.
• Ability to analyze performance and pivot plans as needed, optimizing content to succeed in a dynamic social media landscape.
• Natural collaborator, capable of instinctively building mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues.
• Proficient in creating paid campaigns and analyzing data to optimize performance.
