Salary Range:
$154,000.00 - $200,000.00We are looking for a product manager to work with our App Enablement teams focused on improving the Etsy engineering experience for building Etsy apps.
As a Product Manager on App Enablement, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of the internal customers, defining and implementing product strategy to enable engineering to develop confidently and safely to deliver quality products. Do you find joy in deeply understanding internal teams’ needs and solving problems so that they can deliver more reliably and confidently? Do you enjoy working with engineering leaders to influence app engineering culture and practices as well as diving into the details to drive solutions forward? If so, this could be the perfect match!
This is a full-time position reporting to the Group Product Manager. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. Enablement at Etsy is a group that supports internal teams. We build the platforms and tools for Data Science, Experimentation, Personalization, Product Development and our infrastructure is used by every engineering team. We measure our successes with adoption, reliability, and developer effectiveness, and we are always looking ahead to be the foundation for innovation and growth. The App Enablement teams enable engineers to build Etsy Apps with modern and consistent tools and practices by investing in app architecture, quality signals, delivery mechanisms, and education.
What does the day-to-day look like?
Pair closely with the Senior Engineering Manager to identify strategies and priorities for the 3 engineering squads
Spend time with Etsy app engineers to develop a deep understanding of their needs
Define OKRs and track progress against them, communicate plans and updates to cross-functional partners and leadership, and drive the execution of your roadmap to hit your team’s goals
Own your team’s success metrics, including impact to our business and customers

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
Proven success in leading and developing high impact teams with meaningful goals
Understanding of observability concepts, including metrics, tracing, and logging frameworks
Experience working tools like Grafana, Bugsnag or similar platforms.
Experience working on tools and software for internal customers, App experience a plus
Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams and understand technical trade-offs
Deeply inquisitive and a desire to understand the “why”
Ability to empathize with the customer and understand their need
