What’s the role?
You will lead day to day purchasing process by: providing operational support and monitoring across requisitioning and ordering for our Marketing Teams; reviewing all requisitions and purchase order (PO) changes by ensuring they are aligned with company policies; confirming all items and pricing are accurately listed on POs; ensuring all necessary approvals are in place; confirming goods and services meet internal customer needs; champion adherence to all Purchasing policies, processes and procedures through maximizing the use of established agreements and procedures; review requisitions and make decisions to pass on to sourcing specialist for sourcing initiatives; Interact with internal customers to identify requirements and resolve issues and use Coupa to generate contracts based on pre approved guidelines (standard templates, standard terms and conditions).
This is a full-time position reporting to the Procurement Manager. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Dublin office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What’s this team like at Etsy?
The Procurement team is a small group that believes in cross functional collaboration and communication. We engage with stakeholders at all levels from interns to Vice Presidents to help them with their purchase orders, contracts and supplier onboarding. We process over 3500 POs a year as a team, all while working on process improvement projects and metrics. Our team motto is “Procurement is a Service” and we aim to ensure that every team we work with feels heard and knows who they can speak with when they encounter process issues, have questions or want our help on a new project.
What does the day-to-day look like?
Operational Purchasing Support: This is the day-to-day execution of the procurement process, specifically supporting Marketing Teams. This includes reviewing requisitions, ensuring policy alignment, verifying pricing, managing PO creation and approvals.
Policy Compliance & Adherence: Championing and enforcing all purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
Contract Management: Utilizing Coupa to generate contracts based on pre-approved guidelines, templates, and terms and conditions.
Stakeholder Management & Communication: Interacting with internal customers (like the Marketing Teams) to understand their needs, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with the purchasing process.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
2+ years experience in procurement roles with experience in a global company.
Collaboration is key, so you'll need excellent partnership skills to work effectively with various teams. Strong facilitation skills will be essential for clear communication and collaboration with partners across Etsy and our House of Brands.
You should be a highly organized individual with outstanding time-management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have a curiosity about problem-solving, including advanced skills in active listening, problem analysis, solution mapping, and team building.
