Etsy is building the world’s most vibrant handmade marketplace, and we're looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting Team in Dublin.
We are seeking to support Etsy’s growth by ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and a strong and sustainable internal control environment. Our goal is to contribute to Etsy at multiple levels by combining strong accounting and business senses while subscribing to Etsy’s mission and values.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior International Finance Manager. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Dublin office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
Manage day-to-day, monthly and quarterly International accounting activities.
You will be responsible for US GAAP and statutory accounting and compliance for several Etsy subsidiaries across EMEA, Canada and APAC.
Full ownership of US GAAP reporting: managing the month end close, Balance Sheet reconciliations & internal reporting for a number of Etsy International Entities.
Full ownership of local Statutory compliance: management of audit & preparation of Financial Statements ensuring full compliance with local legislation.
Perform monthly analytics for each subsidiary and present to senior management.
Collaborate cross functionally with International/Global partners including Tax, Treasury & Legal.
Driving continuous improvement, building standardisation and reengineering of processes and controls and implementation of International &/or Global methodologies.
You will partner across several teams in the company including working with international business partners; SEC reporting for external reporting; the treasury team on banking and liquidity for International entities; and the internal payroll team to ensure accurate & timely completion of monthly payroll.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
Professional Accounting qualification: ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or similar
Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a similar organisation. Large Tech/Big 4 experience is a plus.
High energy level, with a demonstrable hands-on approach, and who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Excellent attention to detail
Strong Excel skills
Exposure to Workday &/or another ERP system is an advantage
Self-starter with a personal drive.
Highly organised and adapt quickly to change.
Confident working independently and following tasks through to completion and meeting commitments, whilst actively seeking support as necessary
Excellent communications skills and the ability to build remote relationships.
