What’s the role?

As a Digital Experiences Art Director on our Brand Creative team, you'll shape how our brand identity and campaigns come to life across our digital ecosystem. Working alongside product and marketing teams, you'll evolve our brand toolkit to create digital experiences that inspire our global community of buyers and sellers.

We believe our brand should feel native to our platform, creating seamless experiences from digital campaigns to branded app moments. This is a full-time position reporting to the Creative Director. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. Brand designers enlist their talent and craft to bring Etsy's unique positioning to life anywhere a customer meets us: in marketing channels, web, email, or native products and beyond. We help build branded experiences that consider the entire journey across our web, email, and native products.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Lead as a domain expert by establishing conceptual and stylistic digital art direction that aligns with strategic insights, customer needs, and business objectives

• Work closely with creative directors, art directors, and designers to define frameworks that extend brand expressions throughout our platform while advancing our visual language

• Contribute to Etsy's brand evolution by growing digital design capabilities into fresh creative territories that resonate with our audiences

• Provide hands-on support and guidance to designers implementing design systems and product marketing experiences into their brand projects

• Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• 8+ years of experience in related digital design fields at agencies, studios or in-house.

• Experienced leading brand expression in digital products, with focus on native app experiences

• A strong portfolio demonstrating digital-first brand campaigns and the adaptation of brand principles to product spaces

• Strategic campaign expertise combined with knowledge of digital product development

• Experience collaborating with design systems and product teams to build, grow, and scale brand toolkits across platforms

• Strong understanding of UX principles and mobile design patterns across app and web platforms

• Fluency in industry-standard design tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

• Proven track record proactively building strong working relationships with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.

• Proactivity, clear communicator and problem solver that can anticipate questions, independently assess solutions, and think critically and creatively.

• Demonstrates outstanding initiative, attention to detail, and follow-through implemented at a high level of craftsmanship.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, feedback-forward creative environment where tasks, priorities, and projects change rapidly.
