Salary Range:
$78,000.00 - $102,000.00What’s the role?
As a Policy Enforcement Manager for Offensive Content on Etsy’s Trust & Safety team, you'll work with distributed teams across Enforcement, Policy, Product, Engineering and other teams to mitigate policy violating content on our marketplace. You will evaluate content, analyze abuse trends and decision outcomes of content moderators to identify scalable solutions and improvements across policy, enforcement workflows and quality.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Operations Manager. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. We look for trends that violate our policies. We collaborate with partners including Policy, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Vendor partners to improve detection and enforcement strategies, share insights and collaborate on challenging cases.

The day to day
Responsible for a strategic business area(s) within Policy vertical (eg, QA, documentation, Controls/detection, Etsy feature/surface area); advise on the annual roadmap for that business area and the implementation and successful execution against quarterly goals.
Deliver on key initiatives focusing on continuous improvement within a content vertical and work with our partners in Policy, Product, Engineering, Enablement and/or Analytics on improvements/expansions.
Enforce content policies with high quality, including potential exposure to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive content.
Act s a point of contact with internal partners (incl. Engineering, Product, Policy, Vendor Operations). Identify, drive and implement strategic continuous improvement & scaling initiatives to reduce potentially harmful content.
Serves as a point person to manage escalations on weekends on a rotating schedule once every two months.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
4+ years of project management in Trust and Safety within a tech company, marketplace, online platform or similar sectors.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and overseeing projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
Ability to handle high-stakes situations and manage crisis response effectively.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling the clear and effective conveyance of complex information to diverse stakeholders, including team members, management, and external partners
Policy development, implementation, and enforcement in a digital environment.
Skilled at identifying abuse trends or working in news or policy, with a passion for online controversial content.
Positive relationships with cross-functional partners remotely and across geographies, demonstrating outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills.
