What’s the role?
We are looking for a Director of Marketing Measurement to help lead our efforts to measure and optimize our paid marketing program. If you are passionate about marketing attribution, generating channel and user insights, and using data to identify growth opportunities, this is an exciting opportunity for you!
As the Director of Marketing Measurement, you will lead a set of teams focused on measuring and optimizing our paid marketing investments ($500M+ per year), including digital performance channels, mid-funnel video, linear TV, as well as other Above the Line tactics. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Analytics & Strategic Finance. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Depending on where you are located in the United States, your work mode will be Local Hybrid, Regional Hybrid or Remote. The Marketing Analytics team partners closely with leads across the Marketing org and Product & Engineering to identify and pursue growth opportunities, measure the impact of our efforts, and optimize our marketing investments.
More broadly, the Analytics team at Etsy helps drive the success of our partners by providing meaningful insights, industry-leading measurement techniques, and access to the metrics, data, and tools needed for decision-making and optimization. We partner with our peers through all stages of development: identifying initial opportunities, analyzing the impact of our efforts, and highlighting improvement areas. Ultimately, the team’s work strengthens Etsy and helps continuously improve the Etsy experience.
What does the day-to-day look like?
Lead two Analytics teams responsible for measuring and helping optimize our paid marketing program
Lead efforts to evolve our approach to marketing attribution, with a rigorous focus on incrementality
Collaborate with leads across Marketing, Product, and Engineering to develop our near-term roadmap and long-term strategy for increasing the impact and efficiency of our paid marketing efforts
Present key insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the company
Raise the skill level of our Analytics function through the introduction of strong practices, processes, tools and close mentorship of both direct reports and broader team

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
8+ years of experience leading marketing analytics initiatives
Significant experience leading marketing attribution efforts, including data-driven attribution and media mix modeling (MMM), for both click- and impression-based channels
Strong track record of high impact strategic contributions
Proficiency with SQL, Looker, R/Python
Experience with large datasets and using data to influence business decisions
Experience presenting to senior leadership, distilling technical insights into crisp and compelling narratives
Excellent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and capacity to make data-driven recommendations in ambiguous situations
