We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead development of our checkout experience within Etsy Payments.
This role owns the strategic vision for checkout and leads a team responsible for:
Scaling an experience that enables buyers to checkout quickly and securely, while storing payment details for repeat purchases
Leveraging data insights to help shape the checkout experience to specific user cohorts, surfacing the right friction at the right time in the purchase journey
Identifying a pipeline of partnership opportunities to meet flexible buyer payment needs while creating incremental value for Etsy
As a product leader, you’ll partner with colleagues across Analytics, Design, Engineering, and Research to build a vision and strategy for achieving a checkout experience that better meets the needs of our customers while driving business value for Etsy. This role has high impact potential and is essential to the future of Etsy Payments!
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product, Data & ML Enablement. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. The Etsy Payments team is committed to crafting and maintaining a resilient, streamlined, and scalable payments platform for buyers, sellers, and Etsy globally. Available in 52 countries, Etsy Payments enables buyers and sellers to transact in 21 currencies. The Payments product team is focused on creating a world where people can shop and sell with trust, and where every payment is a positive experience.
Lead the development of a product strategy for the checkout experience and realize a roadmap of high-impact customer-centric investments
Collaborate across functions to identify, prioritize, define, and execute on the right areas that will improve outcomes for customers and drive business impact for Etsy
Clearly communicate socialize plans and commitments to diverse stakeholders internal and external to Etsy, including executive leadership
Drive the squad's execution by collaborating closely with engineering, analytics, and design partners, having ownership over the performance (and measurement) of the team’s product and operational experiences, including impact to the business and our customers
Integrate analysis and customer feedback into product requirements to ensure products satisfy customer needs, as well as wants while achieving business objectives

5+ years of Product Management or comparable experience
Experience leading online checkout and/or wallet focused initiatives
Practical knowledge of ecommerce and payments industry best practices and paths to innovation
Experience partnering cross-functionally to identify the most meaningful unmet customer needs, and design and build experiences and other solutions that effectively address them
Highly motivated to help the team work with urgency and creativity to build clarity, resolve blockers, and drive impact
Committed to learning and growing. You are curious, proactively give feedback to enable the development of others, and are receptive to the gift of feedback
