Salary Range:
$126,000.00 - $164,000.00We are looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications to join our Communications & Community team. You will amplify Etsy’s impact and growth by elevating our advocacy work, developing narratives that extend across Etsy Inc.’s House of Brands and supporting financial communications. This role is deeply involved in strengthening and protecting Etsy’s corporate reputation.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. Our team engages with all of our internal and external stakeholders. Through storytelling, media relations, marketing programs, and community programming, we elevate our sellers and their unique items. Our goal is to make people love shopping on, selling on, working at, or doing business with Etsy. This team is part of the larger Brand Marketing & Communications function within the Marketing org.
Working with reporters to secure, shape, and balance media coverage related to our financial performance, impact and advocacy efforts and house of brands
Finding opportunities to proactively pitch our impact and advocacy work to priority reporters
Working with comms leads at Depop and Reverb to ensure Etsy Inc. is telling a consistent, cohesive story to external audiences
Counseling Etsy execs on opportunities, risks, and overall positioning; preparing them for media interviews and speaking engagements
Working with cross-functional partners, including advocacy and public policy, investor relations, product marketing, trust & safety, product and more to ensure major efforts support and advance our strategic narrative.
Supporting the larger corporate communications team around key announcement and campaign moments by developing media materials and supporting media engagement

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
8+ years of corporate communications experience, with a background in working in-house at public companies, particularly in the tech and/or e-commerce sectors
Experience across media relations, financial communications, and impact and advocacy communications.
Ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively with cross functional partners
A love of storytelling and writing. As a skilled writer, tailoring style and tone based on the message, medium, and audience -- the ability to keep comms human, even when communicating corporate updates.
A passion for celebrating and supporting the creative entrepreneurs who sell on Etsy!
Stellar media relations skills with direct reporter relationships
Excellent judgment and the ability to counsel senior leaders
Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
Comfort operating in highly-collaborative and matrixed environments; at the same time, you are able to work autonomously and feel empowered to make quick decisions
