Salary Range:
$96,000.00 - $124,000.00We are looking for an Impact & Sustainability Specialist who has experience working across corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics. You will support our Impact strategy broadly with research and writing across a range of topics, with a specific focus on evolving our work to meet emerging sustainability and ESG compliance obligations.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Impact and Sustainability. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
Partner closely with our Legal and Accounting teams to prepare for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) disclosure as well as other sustainability, human rights, and ESG compliance obligations. Track policies and trends, dig into the details of disclosures, and help us evolve our ESG program to address the changing regulatory environment.
Conduct research and analysis on a wide variety of ESG topics and industry practices to support our business and impact strategies. Work across the company to develop policies and programs grounded in this research. Present your findings in compellingly crafted presentations and briefs.
Distill complex information into storytelling that meets the needs of varied partner groups.
Identify and explore emerging areas and support the team in chasing new challenges, all while keeping a keen sense of prioritization that will allow us to deliver on our commitments.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
3-5 years of experience in a corporate sustainability or social impact role. A related graduate degree may replace some job experience.
Adept at using research as a tool to drive actionable, business-aligned insights – from quick benchmarking to deep topical research, you can do it all.
Whether it’s a new policy or a compelling story, you have experience strategically conveying meaning to your audience through the power of words.
You also love a good presentation and can build a Google slide deck that transforms complex or technical information into digestible content to drive decision making.
Comfort with uncertainty around processes and decision frameworks, and skilled at building the path as you travel it.
A passion for racial justice and combating the climate crisis and a strong understanding of the intersections in between
