Etsy is looking for a Community Forums Manager to lead the evolution of our Forums and the content management across Etsy’s seller social channels—ensuring they remain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space for our global seller community.
This position leads all aspects of the day-to-day operations and long-term vision of Etsy’s Forums and seller social channel spaces, combining real-time moderation, community care, and actionable insights to support millions of creative entrepreneurs.
As a people manager you will lead, encourage, and develop a team of moderators, work cross-functionally with teams like Product, Trust & Safety, and Communications, to elevate seller feedback and insights.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs and Community. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
Lead moderation and community management for our seller Forums, ensuring conversations reflect Etsy’s values and community guidelines.
Act as the escalation lead for high-visibility or sensitive issues in Forums and community spaces, including virtual seller events taking place live.
Manage a team of moderation agents, providing clear direction; and serve as main liaison for agency partners.
Oversee and optimize moderation workflows, enforcement practices, and agent training.
Analyze and report on sentiment, engagement trends, and emerging risks across community spaces (Forums and Etsy owned seller facing channels, like YouTube, IG, etc).
Translate seller feedback into meaningful insights for Product, Engineering, Support, Marketing, and other internal teams.
Partner with internal data and research teams to build dashboards tracking community health and seller satisfaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure consistency in seller communication and policy application.
Support platform development and feature testing in partnership with engineering and third-party vendors.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
7+ years of experience in online community management, moderation, customer support, or digital engagement, including 3+ years managing people or contractors.
Proven track record leading moderation for large-scale, global communities—especially those focused on sellers, creators, or customers.
Deep understanding of online safety, content moderation, and the dynamics of digital community spaces.
Strong analytical approach with proficiency in tools like Looker, Tableau, Sprout, or Sprinklr; experience using and managing community platforms such as Khoros or Bevy.
Exceptional written communication and cultural fluency—skilled at building trust and setting the right tone for diverse, global audiences.
Confident navigating sensitive or complex issues with clarity, empathy, and urgency.
Experienced in working with external vendors and third-party platforms.
Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You bring a positive, can-do attitude, are driven by solutions, and enjoy working collaboratively across different teams as well as independently.
Resourceful and adaptable—you’re hands-on, quick to pivot, and ready to solve challenges as they arise.
