Salary Range:

$87,000.00 - $113,000.00

What’s the role?

As an App Store Optimization (ASO) Specialist, you will play a key role in improving our mobile app’s ranking and conversion rates. By using data-driven insights and creative techniques, you’ll optimize Etsy’s app store presence to boost organic downloads. If you have a deep understanding of ASO methodologies and a passion for mobile app marketing, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, Global Media Investment & Platforms. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Perform keyword research to identify high-impact keywords for app titles, descriptions, and metadata.

  • Optimize listings (Google Play Store, Apple App Store) with relevant keywords and compelling content.

  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to build and test app store visuals, including icons, screenshots, and promotional graphics.

  • Analyze the performance of creative assets and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

  • Lead all aspects of and analyze app store performance metrics, including rankings, downloads, and user reviews.

  • Generate regular reports on ASO performance and provide actionable insights to improve results.

  • Work closely with product and UX/UI teams to improve listings and ensure alignment with user expectations.

  • Implement A/B testing strategies to optimize app store listing elements and drive higher conversion rates.

  • Stay on top of the latest ASO trends, industry news, and app store algorithm changes.

  • Continuously test and adapt strategies to maintain a leadership position in the app store ecosystem.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • Experience in ASO or a similar role, with a track record of successful App Store campaigns.

  • Understanding of app store algorithms, ranking factors, and keyword optimization techniques.

  • Proficiency in ASO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower, Mobile Action).

  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.

  • Creative problem solver who will develop engaging app store content and visuals.

  • Strong communication and partnership skills, with the ability to work efficiently across teams.

  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and general digital marketing practices is a plus.
