What’s the role?
This role will be focused on improving the agent tooling and infrastructure that enable Etsy's Support Agents to deliver efficient, high-quality, and scalable support. The team for this role is an established squad at Etsy. Our mission is to increase agent efficiency while improving decision making to deliver positive and consistent outcomes for our customers and the greater Etsy community. All the members of this squad will be experienced engineers at Etsy that will support you in your onboarding.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager, Agent Platform Experience. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Dublin office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. The Agent Platform Experience squad is an established squad of experienced Etsy engineers. The team drives an ambitious roadmap of projects that impact the Customer Support Experience and our customers within the Etsy Community.

What does the day-to-day look like?
Working collaboratively with multiple engineers at a range of levels to support you in gaining critical onboarding about how Etsy designs and writes software.
Working closely with stakeholders to improve existing processes by optimizing existing internal tools or/and creating new ones.
Continuously learn from your teammates and share your own insights with them.
Push code to production early and often using our continuous deployment systems.
Empathy, ownership, communication, and technical skill are valued equally.
Participate in code and design reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
At least 3 years of software engineering experience
Have experience operating in a full-stack environment and owning the development of features end-to-end
Write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and scalability.
Find value in empowering data-driven decision making and building out experiments that enable big product and design decisions.
Experience running A/B tests
Enjoy thinking about the implications of your work on end users. You are comfortable collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to ensure that you’re delivering impactful product features.
Have excellent communication skills, and are enthusiastic and forward-looking!
