Salary Range:
$190,000.00 - $246,000.00We are looking for a Senior Manager of Product Analytics. You are an inspirational people leader with experience in product analytics. You and your team will optimize Search from the frontend buyer experience to the machine learning models powering the items we show. If you are passionate about generating user insights, close partnership with product teams, machine learning systems, and using data to identify growth opportunities, this is an exciting opportunity for you!
You will lead a team of data scientists collaborating directly with Product, Engineering, Design, and Research leaders. You will also lead execution on strategic analyses which uncover Search’s future focus areas. This is a full time position reporting to the Head of Search, Recs, and Ads Analytics. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. The Product Analytics team partners closely with leads within the Product org to deliver user insights grounded in data, pursue growth opportunities, and measure the impact of our efforts.
More broadly, the Analytics team at Etsy helps drive the success of our partners by providing meaningful insights, industry-leading measurement techniques, and access to the metrics, data, and tools needed for decision-making and optimization. We partner with our peers through all stages of development: identifying initial opportunities, analyzing the impact, and highlighting improvement areas. Ultimately, the team’s work strengthens Etsy and helps continuously improve the Etsy experience.
Leadership: Lead a high functioning analytics team by raising the skill level of our Analytics function through the introduction of strong practices, processes, tools and close mentorship of both direct reports and the broader team
Experimentation: Support data scientists in decision making in A/B experimentation, grounded in statistical rigor
Proactive Analysis: Build and execute on a roadmap for strategic analysis which will uncover the next stage of growth for Search and Etsy
Strategy: Partner with leaders in Search and across the Product Organization to develop long term strategy, delivering data driven insights to support the direction for multi-year investments of cross-functional product teams
Communication: Present key insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders across the company
Self-service insights: Lead efforts to make data more accessible for partners through development of data infrastructure, integration with existing tools, and explorations of new ones

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
8+ years experience in product analytics, bonus for experience in Search or other ML driven product teams
At least 2 years people management and mentor at the senior data analytics level
Strong understanding of principles of A/B testing, and experience crafting and analyzing experiments
Strong Track record of high impact strategic contributions
Proficiency with SQL, Looker, R/Python
Experience with large datasets and using the data to influence business decisions
Experience presenting to senior leadership, distilling technical insights into crisp and compelling narratives
Excellent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and capacity to make data-driven recommendations in ambiguous situations
